The exhibition and illustrated nouvelle “Under the same sea” is an approach from painting and literature to the tragedy of shipwrecks and deaths in the Mediterranean. It avoids the frontality of the pamphlet or the rhetoric of explicit denunciation to propose a deep reflection, from the keys of art, on the social, political and ethical challenge posed by the situation of tens of thousands of migrants who die each year trying to get in Europe.

The series is composed of about sixty Chinese ink on paper and plastic, and about twenty large formats in acrylic and oil on paper and canvas. This exhibition and his book were presented in Madrid (2016) and Tangier (2017). The series will be adapted for the cinema.
